Procurement and Supply of a School Bus for Al-Misbaax Early Childhood Education Center

- Background
The Adado District Administration is committed to improving access to quality education and enhancing the wellbeing of children across the district. Access to safe and reliable transportation remains one of the key challenges affecting attendance and participation in early childhood education programs.
Al-Misbaax Early Childhood Education Center serves children from different communities within Adado District. However, many parents face difficulties transporting their children to and from the school on a daily basis. In some cases, children rely on informal transportation arrangements that may not adequately guarantee their safety and comfort.
To address this challenge, the Adado District Administration intends to procure and supply a school bus or suitable transport vehicle for Al-Misbaax Early Childhood Education Center. The project aims to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for young children, improve school attendance, reduce transportation-related risks, and support access to quality early childhood education.
- Project Objective
The overall objective of this assignment is to improve access to early childhood education through the provision of safe and reliable transportation for children attending Al-Misbaax Early Childhood Education Center.
Specific Objectives
• Procure a suitable school bus or transport vehicle for student transportation.
• Improve the safety and security of children travelling to and from school.
• Enhance school attendance and punctuality.
• Reduce transportation challenges faced by parents and caregivers.
• Support quality educational services through reliable transportation.
- Scope of Work
The selected supplier shall be responsible for the supply, delivery, inspection, and handover of one school bus or suitable transport vehicle.
The scope of work shall include:
A. Vehicle Supply
The supplier shall provide:
• One school bus or suitable transport vehicle in excellent operating condition.
• Adequate seating capacity for children and accompanying staff.
• Proper safety features and roadworthy condition.
• Functional mechanical, electrical, and safety systems.
• Standard accessories and emergency safety equipment.
B. Documentation
The supplier shall provide:
• Ownership transfer documents.
• Any other legally required documentation.
C. Delivery and Inspection
The supplier shall:
• Deliver the vehicle to Adado District Administration.
• Facilitate inspection and acceptance procedures.
• Correct any defects identified during inspection before final acceptance.
- Expected Outputs
The assignment shall result in:
• One fully operational school bus or suitable transport vehicle delivered and handed over.
• Complete vehicle documentation and registration records.
• Vehicle inspection and acceptance report.
- Duration of Assignment
The supplier shall complete delivery and handover within thirty (22) calendar days from the date of contract signing.
- Eligibility and Qualification Requirements

7 Experience Certificates Evidence of similar vehicle supply contracts completed within the last three years.
8 Bank Statement Company bank statement for the previous twelve (12) months.
9 Delivery Schedule Proposed timeline for delivery and handover.
- Evaluation Criteria
Bids shall be evaluated based on:
• Compliance with technical requirements.
• Quality and suitability of the proposed vehicle.
• Relevant experience of the supplier.
• Delivery timeframe.
• Cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Reporting and Supervision
The assignment shall be supervised by the Adado District Administration.
The successful supplier shall coordinate closely with the designated focal person from the District Administration throughout the implementation period.

Interested and eligible bidders are invited to submit sealed bids containing both technical and financial proposals.
